LSU Law’s Civil Rights Trial Team Places as National Quarterfinalists!

The LSU Law Peter James Johnson National Civil Rights Trial Competition Team placed as National Quarterfinalists and one of the top eight teams in the nation at the Civil Rights Trial Competition, which was held at the Supreme Court of New York, Nassau County Courthouse in Mineola, N.Y. from Oct. 21-23, 2016.  The team includes Robert Glueck, Hannah Marler, Doug Nielsen and Elizabeth Wong.

Hosted by St. John’s University School of Law, the competition is the nation’s only civil rights trial advocacy competition. This year’s trial case file focused on the current and controversial topic of a transgendered person’s rights in an employment discrimination and wrongful termination case.

The Law Center’s Peter James Johnson National Civil Rights Trial team was coached by Ms. Kathleen Barrios (LSU Law ’08) of the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office.
